DIY Sea Salt Hair Spray

Pretending to be a model when the sea wind is blowing through your hair. Yep! We've all had that glorious moment in our life. And also wished the glamorous wind tousled look lasted even after the vacation.

The sea water creates curls and volume in the hair. The sea salt reacts with the C-H bonds in the hair and crimps it naturally. While the salt is drying on the hair, the wind adds to the volume in the hair while the salt water sets it.

Sea salt sprays that are commercially available are very expensive. But you need not carry a bottle of the sea water back home to recreate the look. Basic sea salt from your kitchen shelf and distilled water are just what you need to recreate the magical mermaid waves any day.

Ingredients:
1/2 tsp sea salt
30 ml distilled water or boiled and cooled water

Method:
Just fill a spray bottle with the water and add the sea salt. Give it a good shake. Flip your hair upside down and spray between sections of hair. Scrunch hair and leave to air dry. Enhances the natural curl/ wave in the hair and oodles of volume.

Tip:
Works best on 2nd - 3rd day hair which is slightly more textured. Also, absorbs the sebum in the scalp on such hair.

Caution:
Colored, Permed, Chemically treated, hair and extensions may face dryness due to this spray as salt is drying on the hair.

Stay gorgeous,
Sash!
